Yes yes yes! I love how you’ve been able to think about your thoughts and articulate them for us. I think we all have those same concerns no matter what our job/vocation/ministry is. I’m not worthy to teach this class, lead this book study, give input in staff meeting. The wrestling of our hearts with knowing our sin while also knowing the God of creation and that HE has called us to these things is a tightrope that won’t go away until we are with Him. In some ways, we have to just set those feelings and thoughts of inadequacy aside and keep walking forward. And maybe break down in tears occasionally. ❤️ you are brave. You are writing bravely and I adore you for it!

Thank you, friend. You are always such a blessing!

It’s so true. It’s a struggle for all…part of our fallen nature. God is so gracious. That grace is what gives us the courage to keep going. ❤️

Omg, so much to unpack here. I find it a little strange that your writing program was so focused on platform, BUT . . . I am on Instagram first to be a good literary citizen. To champion writing and writers and books! To encourage other writers, and myself. I don't have a published novel yet, either. I am still trying to figure out Threads because it seems redundant to me. Any insights would be appreciated. I started the Substack because I decided I did not want to write short stories (previous post) and I wanted to provide that I can deliver something every week. (I have done 19 Mondays in a row.)

Re faith -- my discussion of faith in my novel is a bit unorthodox, but it is still Christian theology. Focused on the teachings of Jesus and doubts. But still I thought readers would think it was too much. None really have -- they found it thought-provoking, especially readers who classified themselves as seekers. So write from your heart!
