Cannon Beach, Tillamook, Portland...I love the Oregon Coast very much.
Love your outlook in this post, also. As Christians we grow by expanding and integrating into all lifestyles, even those we sometimes fear, enabling us to empathize with, and better understand the world around us.
I love this! Although I agree maybe don’t run out and buy 50 Shades of Gray because we still have to be careful what we allow in our souls, we need to get out of our Christian bubbles. We need to know how to speak to non-Christians without the Christianese. We need to know their world too.
Agreed. Discernment is still necessary to be certain! I think the phrase “reading promiscuously” is such that it jolts us out of a narrow mindset, but was not intended to suggest haphazardly consuming things that muddy our consciences.

We just had to replace our car battery in Tillamook. :)
Yep. Exactly, Bob. Well said in a succinct nutshell.
You know I love this idea so much. Thanks for sharing the book stack photo!!!
FYI- Karen Swallow Prior just started a free substack! I love her writing so much. Everything by her is excellent.
Ohhh...I will find her Substack! I love her, too. She is a breath of fresh air.
